IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources, an association established under the laws of Switzerland, with its World Headquarters located at Rue Mauverney 28, 1196 Gland, Switzerland operating in Viet Nam through its Viet Nam Country Office at Building 2A, Van Phuc Diplomatic Compound, 298 Kim Ma street, Ba Dinh District, Ha Noi, Viet Nam. The Finance Assistant, on replacement capacity to temporarily cover the function of the incumbent during her maternity leave for 6 months.
JOB DESCRIPTION
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Assistant to the Finance Unit for daily financial and accounting work to IUCN Vietnam’s Finance and Accounting.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
The duties of the Finance Assistant will include but not limited to:
1. Accounting:
- Handle the daily petty cash and bank transactions
- Delivery document to banks when required.
- Assist in checking and classifying supporting documents, preparing necessary journal entries and posting into ERP/NAV system.
- Assist in checking the expenditure report from grantees and partners
- Assist in following up pending payments/contracts with relevant staff
- Filing all accounting vouchers.
- Apply entry for vendor at month-end, review and move completed TA/RQ in the NAV system.
- Assist in following up with grantee on quarterly financial report and settlement.
2. Inter-company account:
- Assist in monthly Inter-company reconciliation.
- Preparing debit/credit note which will be sent to relevant IUCN offices.
- Checking & accepting IC-Inbox from others IUCN offices
- Filing DN and CN.
3. Other duties
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by your supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Vietnamese national.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/ Accounting and proven experience in project finance.
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in finance and accounting and contracting at international private sector or development organizations.
- Good team spirit and enthusiasm.
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese.
- Good computer skills in MS-applications (Word, Excel, Email…).
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages.
